1. Spell and know the meanings of words from different cultures. 
2. Demonstrate comprehension of reading passages.

Agenda
  • Warm-up: Get a dictionary / Take out spelling list
  • Spelling: Work with a group to research word origins / Start homework
  • Prepositions: Share Prepositional Phrase poems
  • Writing: Brainstorm ideas for your How-to Project
Homework
1. Write ten sentences that include two of your spelling words each. Sentences should be at least 6 words in length and clearly demonstrate that you understand the meaning of each word. Please underline the spelling words.

2. Select a topic for your How-to Project (essay and presentation).
